I’ve been a Massachusetts Attorney since 1993, and believe a good lawyer is a problem solver. Thankfully, most people don't have significant enough problems in their lives to require frequent or ongoing legal representation. Many people find, however, that at some point in their life it becomes practical (or even essential) to hire a lawyer to help with a situation. One of the recurring issues I've noticed in my years of practicing law is that, when eventually faced with the need to hire an attorney, people often don't know where to turn. The thought of it can be intimidating, confusing, and even downright frightening to the average person. And if the situation is a time-sensitive one in which court proceedings have already begun or need to be initiated, the process can be very stressful.
